Olemme neuvotelleet alennuksen Tromsø Lodge & Campingin neljän hengen mökkeihin (Traditional cabin – riverside), jotka sijaitsevat noin 2 km päässä elokuvien esityspaikoista. Mökkejä on saatavilla 9 kappaletta hintaan 2900 NOK/yö, ja alennuksen saa koodilla “Rovaniemen Cinema TIFF2025”. Matkan suunnittelu kannattaakin aloittaa kokoamalla mökkiporukka ja varaamalla majoitus. Alennuskoodi on voimassa vain 2.12.2024 asti. We have negotiated a discount on four-person cabins (Traditional cabin – riverside) at Tromsø Lodge & Camping, located about 2 km from the film screening venues. Tips for TIFF

As mentioned above, we do not organize festival tickets or accommodation for festival-goers. We handle the bus ride, and that’s it! Everything else is up to you. 

BUS RIDE

A bus ride can feel quite long, even with good company. Here are some tips to prepare for your trip:

  • Be punctual: It’s crucial to be on time. We collect the names and contact information of all passengers to ensure no one gets left behind, but punctuality is essential.
  • Dress comfortably: Choose warm and cozy clothing for the ride. Consider bringing a sleep mask and earplugs as well.
  • Comfort items: A pillow and/or blanket can make the journey more pleasant.
  • Snacks and drinks: Don’t forget to bring some snacks and beverages to keep yourself refreshed.
  • Entertainment: Bring things to do on the bus, such as listening to music or audiobooks with headphones, reading a book, learning about Tromso and the festival program, or chatting with fellow passengers if they seem open to conversation.

FESTIVAL TICKETS

Ticket cards (klippekort) are good for people who want to see more films. The ticket cards contain 3, 12 or 22 tickets, which you can use for yourself or anybody else you would like to share them with. Read more here: https://www.tiff.no/en/information/brukerst

FESTIVAL PROGRAM

The program for TIFF 2025 will be published in mid-December.

TIFF has many movie screenings, and we recommend getting to know the program beforehand. Many of the screenings will sell out, especially the special ones. TIFF features film concerts, short films, an art program, and outdoor cinema.

FESTIVAL FRIENDS

Want to go but don’t have company? Our festival bus is a great place to find people to hang out with in Tromsø. You’ll have the opportunity to see what others are planning to watch and if they wish to attend the same screenings as you. We will share details about additional voluntary meet-ups with cinema enthusiasts in Tromsø once the full program is available.

Matkalle kannattaa osallistua, vaikka elokuvat eivät olisikaan lähdön pääasiallisena motivaatiotekijänä. Tromsø—like Rovaniemi—is an Arctic winter wonderland. Bring your warmest clothes and expect the polar night during this time of year. It’s definitely worth participating in the trip, even if movies aren’t your main motivation for going. You can also enjoy activities like whale watching, skiing, kayaking in the fjords, or whatever else you can think of.
