WE ARE GOING TO TROMSØ!
Rovaniemen Cinema tekee sen jälleen – lastaamme bussin täyteen elokuvamielisiä ihmisiä ja otamme suunnaksi Tromssan kansainväliset elokuvajuhlat Norjassa. Matkalle kannattaa osallistua, vaikka elokuvat eivät olisikaan lähdön pääasiallisena motivaatiotekijänä.
Tromssan 36. elokuvajuhlat järjestetään 19.-25.1.2026. Cineman kanssa pääset kokemaankolmen päivän leffahuuman tässä kauniissa satamakaupungissa.
Starttaamme Rovaniemeltä torstai-iltana 22.1. ja saavumme Tromssaan perjantaiaamuna. Paluumatkalle lähdetään sunnuntaina aamupäivällä 25.1. ja Rovaniemelle saavutaan myöhään samana iltana.
Bussimatkan hinta on 100 euroa ja se sisältää edestakaisen bussimatkan Rovaniemi-Tromssa-Rovaniemi (normaali reittimatka samalla reitillä 240€). Viimeinen ilmottautumispäivä on 31.12.2025

✨ The 36th Tromsø International Film Festival will take place on 19–25 January 2026. With Cinema, you’ll get to experience three days of movie magic in this beautiful harbour city.
🚌 We’ll depart from Rovaniemi on Thursday evening, 22 January and arrive in Tromsø on Friday morning. The return trip begins on Sunday late morning, 25 January, and we will reach Rovaniemi later that same evening.
💰 The price of the bus trip is 100 euros and it includes the round-trip bus journey Rovaniemi–Tromsø–Rovaniemi (the normal route price for the same journey is €240).
The price includes transport only. Accommodation and cinema tickets must be arranged independently. We recommend booking accommodation quickly due to the festival’s popularity. Movie tickets should also be reserved in advance. You can find all festival information at the official site: https://www.tiff.no/en/ The full programme will be published on 20 December 2025, but many films have already been announced.
A more detailed schedule will be provided closer to the date. Payment details will be sent by email once you register. We will also inform you if there are not enough participants within a reasonable time and the trip has to be cancelled.

Tips for TIFF
As mentioned above, we do not organize festival tickets or accommodation for festival-goers. We handle the bus ride, and that’s it! Everything else is up to you.
BUS RIDE
A bus ride can feel quite long, even with good company. Here are some tips to prepare for your trip:
- Be punctual: It’s crucial to be on time. We collect the names and contact information of all passengers to ensure no one gets left behind, but punctuality is essential.
- Dress comfortably: Choose warm and cozy clothing for the ride. Consider bringing a sleep mask and earplugs as well.
- Comfort items: A pillow and/or blanket can make the journey more pleasant.
- Snacks and drinks: Don’t forget to bring some snacks and beverages to keep yourself refreshed.
- Entertainment: Bring things to do on the bus, such as listening to music or audiobooks with headphones, reading a book, learning about Tromso and the festival program, or chatting with fellow passengers if they seem open to conversation.
Ticket cards (klippekort) are good for people who want to see more films. The ticket cards contain 3, 12 or 22 tickets, which you can use for yourself or anybody else you would like to share them with. Read more here: https://www.tiff.no/en/information/brukerst

FESTIVAL PROGRAM
The program for TIFF 2026 will be published in mid-December.
TIFF has many movie screenings, and we recommend getting to know the program beforehand. Many of the screenings will sell out, especially the special ones. TIFF features film concerts, short films, an art program, and outdoor cinema.
